Smoky Days
Smoky Days in Leipzig: 29 September - 1 October 2027
Following the success of the first “Smoky Day” in spring 2026, the Leibniz ScienceCampus BioSmoke (Smoke and Bioaerosols in a changing climate) invites you to a second edition: a scientific workshop that explores the various processes and impacts of smoke and aerosol particles on the atmosphere and biosphere. We also welcome contributions from related fields, including fire ecology, fire modelling, vegetation recovery, and the health effects of smoke. The Smoky Days 2027 will be held from 29 September to 1 October at the Institute for Meteorology of the Leipzig University. If your current research touches these topics or if you want to get an overview of the activities of the LSC BioSmoke, please consider a registration for the Smoky Days 2027 (see registration details below).
